Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — This group photo, includes eleven graduates of the Alataua Sewing Class — organized by the Fofo-Alataua Empowerment Team — at yesterday’s graduation at the ASG’s Banquet Facility. The ceremony also honored First Lady Cynthia Moliga (middle-sitting) with special items from each graduate created throughout the 3-4 months that they learned the skill of sewing and elei.
“It has been 7 plus years since we have partnered with the ASCC Land Grant and together we want to express our appreciation to the First Lady,” according to the organizers.
Among the graduates is Fofoa, who caught 2 buses from Alega to get to Leone where the classes are held. Graduating also were two ladies from Fagaitua.
