Aumua Amata departed for the Manu’a Islands yesterday, where she will be conducting town hall meetings and visiting with the local school children over the next few days.

“I’m always glad to visit Manu’a while I’m home. It is important that I am able to see and hear from everyone in American Samoa, including Manu'a during my trips back. These town hall meetings are essential as they allow me to get direct feedback from those I am so proud to serve in Washington,” stated Amata.

While in Manu'a, the Congresswoman will be conducting several town hall meetings (details to follow as they become available). The Congresswoman will also be participating in the annual read-a-thon with the local elementary school children.

“It is always a pleasure to see the faces of the school children at the read-at-hon. They truly are the future of American Samoa, and I'm so proud of them.

“I also look forward to seeing and hearing from everyone at the town hall meetings, as well as reporting back to them some of the work we are doing on their behalf. We have already done some great things in just the first 3 months of this Congress, and I know they'll want to hear all about it," concluded Amata.
