Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Receiving congratulations and their diploma was an integral part of the Nuuuli Vocational Technical High School Commencement Ceremony with Principal Susana Kaisa as the Master of Ceremonies.

The invocation was offered by Rev. Malieitulua, who quoted Proverbs 3:16 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans.” He told the 75 graduates to “Trust in the Lord…”

Gov. Pulaalii presented special remarks stating, “Before you make your mark on this world, remember God has already placed his mark on you…” He continued with words of comfort to the graduates saying, “He knows your name, he knows your work, and he knows your unique contribution only you can make… Trust that God will walk beside you… The world needs people who know how to build, create, decide, serve and solve problems… these are just not jobs, but skills that strengthen families, businesses and communities… every project accomplished, every decision made, every person helped… these leave your marks.”

Keynote speaker ASTCA director Fata, a NVTHS alumni, noted her return to her high school after 26 years. She characterized herself as a troublemaker while a NVTHS student, and didn’t remember anything about her graduation other than hoping it would hurry up so she could go celebrate. She briefly described her journey from that moment to now, and asked the graduates to remember whatever your bad decisions, you are the one to make it better… and to remember without love, without understanding, the things you do are nothing. Fata emphasized that without God nothing is accomplished. To parents, Fata asked that they do not compare their child to another because each one is unique.

The 75 Nuuuli Vocational Technical High School Wildcat graduates after receiving their diplomas during the Commencement Ceremony held this week, June 8, 2026 at the school’s gymnasium.
