Local business woman reaches out to public to help solve multiple burglaries

A business woman is reaching to the public for assistance after her business office was  broken into three times in the last two weeks. Terri Steffany, who owns several local businesses, said the first time her office was burglarized was two weekends ago, the second time last week, with the latest break- in Monday night.

The business woman said their main office was ransacked and the culprits got away with cash, beer, cigarettes and other items. She said police were contacted when the first incident occurred — and now it’s the third incident and yet no one has been held accountable for what happened.

Steffany said she was told by police officers at the West Substation they have forwarded the case to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID). However, when she arrived at the Central station, the officers there said they had yet to receive any case pertaining to the burglaries at her business office.

Steffany said the culprits entered into the office by breaking down the main door.

Spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety, Deputy Commissioner Leiseau Laumoli said he just got back from a trip and he has yet to be fully briefed on the recent cases that are being investigated.

In the meantime, the local company is offering a reward for any information about the culprits who burglarized their main office. The “REWARD” advertisement can be seen in today’s issue of Samoa News.
