Lions & OHSU partner for Eye Care Project

Yzel Pardua of Kokoland is happy to have new reading glasses given to her by the Lions Club of Pago Pago during their annual Eye Care Project, ongoing at LBJ Hospital through next week.

Yzel, along with her children Jeuelle and Jarred were given full eye exams by the doctors from Oregon Health Sciences University on Monday.  Along with our eye professionals — Doctors Oo, Siatu’u, Laititi and Steffany, patients are being checked as well as referred for surgery.

OHSU has partnered with the Lions and LBJ Hospital to bring these services to the people of American Samoa, all free of charge.
