Samoan Cultural Dance Production of the Legend of the “Turtle and Shark”

Dancers at Turtle and Shark location in Vaitogi, American Samoa
Pacific Island Foundation media release

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — This month marks one year since Pacific Island Foundation officially introduced itself to American Samoa by successfully hosting the “Fa’a Samoa Music Talent Show” last year, in partnership with Troy and Theodora Polamalu Foundation, Bluesky, Matson and GHC Reid.  Of course we could not have done it without many other businesses, friends and families helping out, each in their own ways.

To celebrate our success and our one year anniversary, Pacific Island Foundation, in honor of the Troy and Theodore Polamalu Foundation and our other partners and sponsors, is putting together a special Samoan Cultural Dance Production of the Legend of the “Turtle and Shark”, August 31, 2019 at the ASCC Multipurpose Auditorium.  This event is FREE for all kids under 18 years old.  However seats are limited to first come first seating.  So come early to get your seat.** Adult Tickets are $20 at the door but you can pick up pre-sale tickets for $10 at any Bluesky location.

It has been an amazing year for Pacific Island Foundation.  From offering our FREE Computer Courses to the community, to opening up a FREE music recording studio for the youth, to setting up a FREE computer lab in Manua, and to our FREE Creative Arts and Dance Programs.  Thank you American Samoa.
