MERRY CHRISTMAS AM. SAMOA!

The village of Aoloau is looking like the North Pole this Holiday Season – as the steep hill going up has beautifully decorated Christmas trees lined up on the side of the road.

According to one of the villagers who spoke to Samoa News last Saturday evening, the village community effort was led by Reverend Tapaleau Semo of the CCAS Aoloau Church –  and each family in the village was given the opportunity to decorate their own tree with the village council and aumaga helping to set them up. Samoa News was told the lights were first lit just after Thanksgiving Day.

Please be careful when going up to see the lights — rain & fog could make it a dangerous ride. Go on a clear night — lights are usually lit by 7p.m. and turned off at 12 midnight, if not earlier. Thank you Aloau Village for this beautiful gift from the heart.
