Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Father Kelemete Puaauli (middle wearing white shirt), surrounded by some of the graduates from Fa’asao High School Class of 1988, sitting at a new bus stop infront of Fa’asao Marist High School at Lepuapua. A dedication ceremony was held last Friday morning for the project, which cost $10,400, and was contracted to Quality Paint Construction.

This is the Class of 1988’s special project, as the girls — now all grown women — celebrated 30 years since they graduated from the then all girls Catholic high school, which later merged together with Marist High School, an all boys Catholic high school. And now is known as Fa’asao Marist High School.

There were 66 graduates in 1988 and several of them traveled to the reunion from off island. Some 20 graduates from 1988 pulled together finances to fund this project.

Among the events that were carried out for this 30-year anniversary get-together, was a fiafia night last Friday evening at Ice Breakers, followed by a BBQ at Utulei beach on Saturday morning where family members attended.
