Celebrating one-year anniversary

Honolulu, HAWAII — The Samoan Protestant AMR Church in Hawai’i  was established on April 9, 2017, and started off with three families. Today it has grown to 10, and counting. Over 100 visitors, friends, and families have passed through, at one point or another.

The celebration began exactly how it was launched: a hike up Makapuu Mountain and a song of praise “Ua Soona Olioli Nei” just like a year ago.

Church members then went on a mission to feed some of the homeless in the Aloha State. It was their way of giving back to the community and "to give God the praises for what He has done for us during our one year of nurturing our ministry to where it stands today. All the praises and glory be unto Him who made it possible for us. God is on the throne and He will continue to grow this ministry to where it needs to be," said a church representative.

"Samoan Protestant AMR is a ministry that caters to the military community active duty members, reservists, retirees and their families, and we also welcome anyone who is looking for a place to worship."

It is under the leadership of SFC Mario Lefiti.

"Thank you to all who have continued to support our ministry and for your endless prayers."
