American Samoa joins the nation in celebrating Thanksgiving

American Samoa has much to be thankful for this year especially following the Sept. 29 tsunami that claimed 34 lives in the territory. Families of the tsunami victims as well as many survivors are expected to be remembered tomorrow when American Samoa joins the rest of the United States in celebrating Thanksgiving Day, a national holiday. Manu’a boat christened, “Fo’isia”— will not have scheduled runs

Gov. Togiola Tulafono says the new Manu’a boat the “Fo’isia” has already performed essential services for the Manu’a islands, transporting members of a family for a funeral. Samoa News understands that a blessing for the boat that the Governor said cost ASG a little over $300,000, was held early last week and was attended by the Governor and Manu’a leaders. Hawaiian Airlines confirms extra flights for Christmas holiday
