Traffic was at a standstill this morning near the Futiga / Iliili intersection while ASPA worked on clearing 2 telephone poles and electrical wires off of the main road after a garbage truck mowed them down in the early hours of the morning.According to reports, the driver of the vehicle had fallen asleep while heading west to the Futiga landfill to dump trash around 2am. He crashed into 2 telephone poles before the truck flipped over and rested on its back on the side of the road. The driver and passenger were both taken to the hospital where the passenger was later released while the driver is still being held for observation.
