FIJI WINS BIG IN LAS VEGAS

Fiji demolished New Zealand in the Las Vegas final, 35-19.  The Fijians led 19-0 at halftime.  Fiji scored five tries while the All Blacks touched down three times.

For Fiji, which has impressed its supporters from day one, this was its third trip to the championship Cup final in the IRB series held in the United States.  The Flying Fijians won the Cup in 2007 and lost it to England in 2006.  This time the Fijians played solid rugby, tackling, passing, running with one goal in mind to win their second championship in USA soil.

New Zealand has the best record in the USA IRB sevens tournaments.  The Kiwis have reached the Cup championship six times.  They lost two straight finals against South Africa (2014-13), and also lost twice to Samoa (2012-2010).
