A couple in Samoa have died when their vehicle was swept away as a result of flooding from Mali’oli’o river in Samalae’ulu village on Savaii island.The police at Tuasivi police station say the couple’s vehicle was crossing a road which the river usually runs over.The bodies of the man and his wife are at Tuasivi hospital for a coroner’s inquiry.Meanwhile another vehicle was swept away in a river flooding on Upolu island yesterday but the driver and the occupants escaped unharmed.
