Miss Samoa New Zealand 2014 is going DIGITAL!

The winner of the 2014 Miss Samoa New Zealand competition will participate in the 2014 Miss Samoa competition (Teuila Festival)after The Pacific Events & Entertainment Trust Board passed a resolution endorsing the move. The Board strongly values the importance of a collaborative effort with the home competition. This partnership would intensify cohesion in advancing Samoa.

In this era of social media and advanced technology, Miss Samoa New Zealand this year will be delivered ONLINE with a judging panel. This removes registration fees and will make the competition more accessible for all Samoan ladies across the country. Applicants will have to record a total of two videos [Introduction & a Response to an Interview Question], upload it to YouTube and then email the links to the Miss Samoa New Zealand team.

ONLINE video submissions will close on Thursday 31 July, 2014. The judging panel will shortlist the applications to three finalists. The winner will be announced and crowned by the reigning Miss Samoa New Zealand; Margaret Sarona Scott in August. The newly crowned Miss Samoa New Zealand will represent New Zealand at the Miss Samoa (Teuila Festival) in September. Applications are now open and will close on Sunday 13 July, 2014.

“Miss Samoa New Zealand celebrates 23 years and to reflect the vibrant trends of the 21st century, we are excited to explore this online platform to make the opportunity more accessible for our beautiful Samoan ladies. The return to Samoa is another great feature for this year”…
