ASVB attending Fiji’s tourism convention

American Samoa Visitor’s Bureau executive director David Vaeafe has confirmed that the Visitor’s Bureau will be attending this year’s Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange (BFTE) scheduled for May 13-17 at the  Fiji InterContinental Hotel just south of Nadi.  This makes it the fourth time the ASVB will be attending the BFTE.

The annual travel trade events bring together tourism industry members from throughout the South Pacific, for one on one meetings with over 150 travel companies from throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australasia that sell the South Pacific and those looking for new products to add to their books, according to Visitor’s Bureau e-Newsletter this week.

This event “allows us to reaffirm our partnerships with our overseas travel trade partners at the same time meeting new businesses interested in our destination,” said Vaeafe. “Each year we have had over 30 appointments over the four day event and this year I expect again to have a full meeting schedule.”

“We’ll be meeting with our current partners but also meeting new ones especially from the U.S. and Australia that we intend to work with in the coming year,” he added.
