Argosy donates more computers to community

There were 15 computers recently donated by Argosy University to the Department of Youth and Women’s Affairs (DYWA) new center located in Pago Pago, to be used as part of the DYWA’s Computer Training Center. The Computer Training Center is located in the same building as the new DYWA gymnasium.

“Dr. Vaiaga’e who is the director here for Argosy University, looks for opportunities for us to help the community and he identified this as an opportunity. We had some extra computers that we did not need,” said Argosy University Hawaii Campus President Warren Evans. He stated that last year they donated 20 computers to an elementary school (Matatula Elementary) due to the fact that their computer lab had been washed away during the 2009 tsunami.

Argosy found another opportunity to donate even more computers, this time to DYWA to help the women and children of the community.

American Samoa Argosy University Director Fanuatele Dr. Vaiaga’e said that Argosy does not just want to provide educational opportunities, but wants to help out the community as well.
