Accountants, auditors and financial managers gather for grant training

A Pacific Islands Training Initiative - \Understanding and Complying with Office of Management and Budget'(OMB) Administrative Requirements and Cost Principals for Grants and other Agreements\ is being conducted at this time at Sadies by the Sea conference room.Charles W. Hester, who is a Certified Public Accountant/Forensic CPA, Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner/Specialist as well as a Certified Government Financial Manager is conducting the training.Accountants, auditors and financial managers who need a working knowledge of the administrative requirements and cost principals applicable to federal financial assistance are the target audience.Employees from various government agencies are attending the meeting: the Territory Office of Fiscal Reform (TOFR), Human Social Services (HSS), Department of Interior (DOI), Department of Parks and Recreation, Court Administration, Department of Health (DOH), Department of Public Works (DPW), Territorial Administration on Aging (TAOA), Department of Commerce (DOC), Developmental Bank of American Samoa (DBAS), Department of Education (DOE), ARRA office, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Human Resources (DHR)are all represented.\The Graduate School out of the Hawaii office and the ARRA office brought me here to explain to everyone the administration requirements and cost principals for grants and agreements
