Samoa Attorney General denies report
The office of the Attorney General has denied a Radio New Zealand International news report that investigations into the ‘ghost letter’ about alleged corruption and misconduct within the Police Force and the Tafaigata Prison, are completed.
In an email yesterday Attorney General Aumua Ming Leung Wai said the investigations have not been completed because there are many allegations.
“I don’t know who released the information that the investigations have been completed as it is incorrect.”
The allegations being investigated were raised in an unsigned letter copied to the Office of the Prime Minister, Office of the Attorney General, Police Commissioner and the Samoa Observer.
