Samoa government reappoints police commissioner for second term

Samoa’s Cabinet has re-appointed the current Police Commissioner, Lilomaiava Su’emalo Fou Taioalo for a second three year term.

Lilomaiava has admitted that some mistakes were made in the last three years but he says they will not be repeated, though he failed to elaborate what those mistakes were.

His appointment comes as ten other chief executives of government ministries wait anxiously to see if they will be reappointed.

A government official says the announcement should be made sometime this week.
