Student in Samoa charged with murder
A 19-year-old student who attends the Congregational Senior College at Vaisigano has been charged with murder.
The young man from Saleaumua is alleged to have stoned a 22-year-old after a dispute while drinking near the school grounds some two weeks ago.
Assistant Police Commissioner Leaupepe Fatu Pula said the deceased, Ofa Semo Semau was from Leone Samoa and had joined the group of drinking students.
The incident occurred on the day the school was scheduled to break for the midterm school holidays.
The Leone Samoa villager was rushed to hospital after the incident but died the next day.
