Hometown News: Puni completes basic training

A1C Athena N. Puni graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on June 1and graduated from Technical School on July 30t. 

During the nine weeks of training, the recruit trained in the fundamental skills to be in an Expeditionary Air Force.  This includes basic war skills, military discipline, physical fitness, drill and ceremonies, Air Force core values and a comprehensive range of subjects relating to Air Force life.

A1C Puni is the daughter of Fitiuta & Elizabeth Puni of Matu’u, American Samoa. She is a 2008 graduate of Samoana High School and 2010 graduate of ASCC.
