Welsh Police release Manu Samoa lock

Manu Samoa lock Filo Paulo has been released on police bail following an alleged assault in the centre of Cardiff.

Samoan international Paulo was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a kebab shop on Caroline Street in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 23-year-old woman was also arrested and later cautioned for assault. Paulo was released while police continue their investigation.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Caroline Street in Cardiff at around 3.25am on Monday 24th February following reports of a disturbance in a takeaway shop.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested a subsequently cautioned for common assault.

"A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently on police bail while an investigation continues."
