Sadie’s Hotels adds staff to promote AmSam
Sadie’s Hotels announces the addition of marketing manager, Fanua J. Misivila-Borodzicz, to their staff.
Tom Drabble, owner, says it was a position he needed filled years ago. “I am delighted to welcome Fanua to the Sadie’s team,” Tom said. “As well as presenting our “Sadie’s Hotels” brand to the world tourism market, Fanua will be working closely with our Visitor’s Bureau to help bring a unique experience to the discerning visitor to our shores.”
Fanua is the youngest daughter of Rev. Vila S. Misivila of A’oloau, and Mrs. Vaialisi Misivila of Nofoali’i, Samoa. A “local” girl born in A’oloau and raised in Nofoali’i, Fanua later joined her parents in the States as a child. She attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science. Previously, Fanua worked at the prestigious Poynter Institute for Media Studies in Florida, where she served as assistant to the dean, department manager, and admissions. She also wrote articles on various issues for the Institute’s journalism website. Her work experience in administration, marketing, advertising, and media relations spans 25 years.
At Sadie’s Hotels, Fanua is responsible for all promotional materials including the hotel website. Sadie’s Hotels consists of the Sadie Thompson Inn in Pago Pago and Sadie’s by the Sea in Utulei.
“My long term plans always included returning home to Samoa/American Samoa to live,” says Fanua. “I look forward to working closely with Tom and the Sadie’s Hotels’ staff, and promoting Sadie’s Hotels and our beautiful islands of American Samoa to the rest of the world.” She adds, “Sadie’s Hotels, with their prime waterfront locations along the Pago Pago harbor, provides the ideal American Samoa experience to our visitors.”
