Governor to meet with President Barack Obama


Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga and his delegation left Friday night, Feb. 14, for two weeks to attend meetings in Washington DC, including a meeting with President Barack Obama.
Other meetings are the National Governor's Association Winter Meeting, the Western Governors’ Association Meeting, the Pacific Basin Development Council Meeting, and the Interagency Group on Insular Affairs (IGIA) Meeting.
The governor’s delegation includes First Lady Cynthia Malala Moliga, Chief of Staff Fiu Johnny Saelua, Executive Assistant Iulogologo Joseph Pereira, Medicaid Director Tofoitaufa Sandra King Young, Grants Compliance Officer Jerome Ierome, Director of DOE Vaitinasa Salu Hunkin Fianu, Director of Health Motusa Tuileama Nua, Director of Commerce Keniseli Lafaele, Treasurer Dr. Falema’o “Phil” M. Pili and Head of the Governor’s Security Detail, Police Commander Alapati Fano.
