Boxing groups ban together to promote athletes

The American Samoa Boxing Federation (ASBF) held their monthly amateur bouts this past Saturday at the old VA Building, bringing together all of boxing coaches and boxers in American Samoa for a preliminary competition to start off 2014.
The event was collaboration between the ASBF and the American Samoa National Amateur Boxing Council (ASNABC) now working through the American Samoa National Olympic Committee (ASNOC) in order to identify and select the outstanding boxing athletes. ASNOC President Victor Langkilde was present at the bouts last Saturday.
Boxers selected will represent American Samoa in regional competitions that lead up to the 2015 Pacific Games that will be taking place Papua, New Guinea.
