Police to finalise charges against Samoa's Lima

The Supreme Court in Samoa has given more time to the prosecution to finalise criminal charges against a former Manu Samoa player and defence coach for the national rugby team.

Muliagatele Brian Lima, who appeared in court on Monday, was originally charged with actual bodily harm, assault and being armed with a dangerous weapon after his former wife Lemalu Sina Retzlaff filed a complaint to the police last month.

A group of women were outside the court wearing T-shirts with a slogan advocating against domestic violence.

The case has been adjourned to January the 27th for the police to produce the final charges against him.
