Baha’i celebrates 60th anniversary
Members of the Baha’i Faith in Samoa and American Samoa are coming together this week.
The occasion is the celebration of 60 years since the teachings of the Faith first arrived in the Samoan islands, on the 14th of January 1954.
The celebrations started Sunday with a special service at the Baha’i Temple at Tiapapata, where families, friends and co-workers were invited.
According to its National Secretary, Peseta Demetrius Fogaseuga Taofiga, the celebration will also be an opportunity for the Baha’is to reflect on the challenges and accomplishments during the last sixty years, to consult on ways and means to build better communities, and to continue serving Samoa and its people.
