In line with a Tongan tradition where children cook for their parents and grandparents on the first Sunday of the year, members of the Tongan community presented Gov. Lolo M. Moliga, First Lady Cynthia Moliga and their family food for lunch at the Governor’s Mansion on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014.

HMHC Mafi o Amerika Samoa Sione Lousiale Kava said, “We, the adopted sons and daughters of American Samoa of Tongan decent felt it an honor and an obligation to provide this “pola” of food to the father and mother of the Territory of American Samoa.”

Among the members of the Tongan community present were Reverend Simione Vainga, with several members of the Siasi ‘o Tonga in Vaitogi and President of the LDS Pago Pago Central Stake, TC Ma’ukoloa.
