SKBC looked as if they were in control of the match as they were awarded two penalty kicks within the first 20 minutes of the game.  Kang put both in the back of the net for a 2-0 lead over Taputimu.

But then the tide slowly shifted the other way, with Taputimu’s attacks bearing fruit twice to force a 2-2 tie before the end of the first half.

In the second both teams had great chances at scoring but as the game neared the end an over zealous Taputimu defender bowled Kang over inside the penalty box to give SKBC’s top goal-scorer a shot at the game winner with a PK attempt.
