ACE American Industries is offering great discounts on items storewide, in celebration of the holiday season. In addition, they are also accepting monetary donations for the American Samoa Cancer Coalition, and ACE will match the donations up to $5,000. Want to stretch your dollar and get more for your money? Then ACE American Industries in Malaeimi (fondly known in the community as just “ACE”)  is where you need to be next Tuesday, Dec. 24 where almost everything in the store will be 25% off from 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. — plenty of time to get everyone on your Christmas list covered.

The Early Bird Sale does not include items that are already on sale, items already marked as ‘everyday low prices’, and lumber yard items. (See store for details).

This is the 8th year ACE is offering the 25% off storewide sale during the holidays and it has — in its own way — become a tradition for some local families who hold off their Christmas shopping and wait for the yearly event so they can pick up everything they need all in one shot and of course, at discounted prices.

ACE operations manager Nadine Solofa-Taufaasau told Samoa News yesterday that “there is usually a good crowd” during the annual one-day Christmas extravaganza, and its mostly people who stop by before heading to work.

For mom, ACE has quality bedding that she will love. Choose from sheets and comforter sets in different sizes and beautiful colors that will match any decor.

Small kitchen appliances including coffee makers, crock pots, rice cookers, and blenders are also specially priced and make great gifts.

For dad, check out ACE’s big selection of tools and automotive items. What about a flat screen TV or a stereo system for the family? Right now, save $80 on a 24-inch LED HDTV which is now $169.99

Get big hugs and kisses from the kids when you buy them an iPad mini (16GB with WiFi) for $329.99 or a Samsung 16MP digital camera for less than $100.

According to Taufaasau, their most popular items during the holiday season are appliances and toys. ACE carries popular name brands like Hot Wheels, Mattel, Fisher Price, and Little Tikes, in addition to a big selection of skateboards and Huffy bikes which are now 10% off.

Save $50 on all 24-inch Huffy granite mountain bikes which are now priced at an unbelievable $119.99

“The toys are so popular that after the holidays, the shelves are practically empty,” Taufaasau said.

Heading towards the appliance section, one will find super hot deals that are too good to pass up.

“The lowest prices of the year on our appliances and furniture are always offered during the holidays and people usually take advantage of that,” said Taufaasau.

From now until Christmas, save $150 on a Whirlpool Energy Star washer or a Whirlpool electric or gas dryer. Don’t forget to browse through the furniture department, which is stocked with beautiful living room, dining room, and bedroom sets.

ACE’s quality furniture and home decor accents will give your home a quick makeover without breaking the bank.

But the deals don’t stop there!

Right now, save 25% on all Christmas items including trees, decorations, lights, and ornaments. A 6-foot unlit tree will only run you $49.99 - a savings of $10

For the house, linoleum carpet (6’ x 75’) is now $59.99 and assorted patio rugs (52” x 75”) are $29.99

Get a micro-quilted queen size bed for $369.99 or upgrade to a king size for $469.99

Prices are good while supplies last and ACE reserves the right to limit quantities on any purchase.

After you’ve completed your Christmas shopping, let the folks at ACE wrap it for you —free of charge.

With unbeatable deals, free gift wrapping and superb customer service, it’s no wonder ACE has been American Samoa’s helpful place for 29 years.

Going from a small, family operation in Tafeta to a giant superstore in Malaeimi, the Scratch family has made ACE one of the most successful businesses on island by ensuring that the needs of the consumer are met and the prices are affordable.

New shipments arrive twice a month and store shelves are always being stocked with new, modern items ranging from everyday necessities like cleaning products to lawn and garden supplies, electronics, and a big selection of paint.

With 110 trained employees on board, you can be sure that there is always somebody there to help make your shopping experience a smooth one.

This year, because of everyone’s tight schedule, ACE isn’t holding a Christmas raffle, which is something everyone looks forward to, as the prizes are usually big ticket items like jumbo screen TVs and appliances.

Instead, for the fifth year in a row, ACE is fundraising for the American Samoa Cancer Coalition. Right now, any “angel” wanting to make a monetary donation can do so at ACE. Whatever amount is collected, ACE will match that amount up to $5,000.

Last year, with the help of the community, ACE presented a check totaling $7,100 to the American Samoa Cancer Coalition.

“This is our holiday fundraising community gift project,” Taufaasau said.

Just last week, Marist St. Francis in Lepua received an award of $10,000 from ACE to rebuild, remodel, and upgrade their facilities. The company is always giving back to the community in one way or another.

ACE is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Visit them today and find out why ACE is American Samoa’s holiday helpful place.
