Two Samoas in hot contest for Miss Internet

The 'Carpenters Miss South Pacific Pageant 2013' officially started Sunday, December 1, in the Solomon Islands.

 

And, within hours of an official page going up on Facebook for the pageant, the two Samoas were in hot contest for the “Miss Internet” title.

 

At time of going to press, Miss Samoa was in the lead with 432 votes,vigorously followed by Miss American Samoa with 371 votes.

 

The two girls were by far the most popular with the next closest, Miss Cook Islands, trailing a distant 86 votes.

 

The reigning Miss South Pacific, Janine Tuivaiti along with the ten contestants vying for the title of Miss South Pacific this year, arrived throughout last week and were all warmly greeted at the Henderson International Airport by the recently crowned Miss Solomon Islands, Tema Wickham and the Miss South Pacific Organising Committee together with a traditional welcome that was carried out by one of the panpipe groups from the Malaita province.
