FBI detains American Samoa resident in Honolulu


An American Samoa resident was arrested yesterday at the Honolulu International Airport for alleged abusive sexual contact on board a flight from Manila, Philippines.

Luavalu Seuva’ai, 22, was arrested by FBI agents upon arriving of a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Manila, says FBI spokesman Tom Simon.

Seuva’ai is currently held in federal custody in Honolulu and will be arraigned Monday at the federal court in Honolulu, Simon said yesterday via e-mail from Honolulu.
