Samoa cabinet approves major projects
Cabinet has approved two major infrastructural developments that will change the outlook of Beach Road forever.
The first is a 15-storey government building at Savalalo where the flea market is currently located. When that building is completed, government offices at Eleele Fou will move there and the FMFM II building will be turned into a five-star hotel, according to government–owned Savali Newspaper.
The newspaper quotes Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi as saying that the center of Apia will shift to Savalalo where the new government building will be located. “That building will complete the cycle of housing all government departments in a centralized location,” said the Prime Minister.
