Eni admitted to LBJ; cause and condition unconfirmed
Congressman Faleomavaega Eni was admitted to LBJ Hospital a few hours after he arrived in the territory on Monday night's Hawaiian Air flight.
It is believed he is suffering from food poisoning although this has not been confirmed. According to Samoa News correspondent Fili Sagapolutele, LBJ can't release any information due to federal laws requiring them to get permission first from the patient.
Sagapolutele has initiated a request to the congressman's office asking why he was admitted to the hospital, his current condition, and when he’ll be released from the hospital.
In the meantime, Radio New Zealand is reporting that Faleomavaega was admitted to the Intensive Care unit.
The congressman had a heart bypass a few years ago and suffers from gout.
Details as they become available.
