Sanitoa seeks update on longstanding Tualauta issues
In a letter to Director of Public Works, Rep. Larry Sanitoa wrote that in his previous request, for DPW to look into adding a small section of the Vaitogi Road on the revised 3R Project list, he had noted this small area of the Vaitogi road is getting very difficult to navigate as the pot holes are getting dangerously larger.
He identified this as the right side of the main Vaitogi Road after the CCCAS Church.
The faipule also pointed out that the road to Aoloau/Pavaiai/Mapusaga Fou, which the Governor confirmed during their recent conversation will be resurfaced soon, still needs a long- term plan to address the runoff water from Aoloau.
On other issues, Sanitoa sought an update from DPW on the soakage Pits by Cost U Less Drainage given that Dave Haleck has agreed on the proposed locations, so hopefully work will begin soon.
He further asked for the update on the sidewalk improvements across from the Homeland Security building and the need for road markings for the turn-in from the main road toward the Tradewinds Hotel.
