Bank of Hawaii donates $10,000 to Boys & Girls Club of American Samoa
(PRESS RELEASE) — Bank of Hawaii presented a monetary donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of American Samoa (BGCAS) which was received by the BGCAS Board of Directors Chairman and Chief Volunteer Officer, Mrs. Mary A.T. Tulafono. Bank of Hawaii, American Samoa Branch District Director, Mr. James Hobbs M. Lowson presented the gift on behalf of Bank of Hawaii on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the BGCAS Clubhouse in Tafuna.
The BGCAS Board Chairman expressed her sincere appreciation to Bank of Hawaii for their generous donation given in support of the BGCAS mission.
“I am honored and truly humbled this morning, on behalf of the BGCAS Board of Directors, Management & staff and all of our 200 members strong. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Bank of Hawaii for their generous donation of $10,000."
“I especially want to thank Mr. Hobbs Lowson, the District Director of the American Samoa Branch for the foresight and the continuous support to the BGCAS. Not only have you demonstrated your commitment in the BGCAS Board of Directors’ decision making, but also you have reached out by way of giving back to the community through this monetary donation. This is a true sign of BOH’s commitment to serve the people of American Samoa and especially in helping to foster its future generation, for it is the future of our nation.”
Bank of Hawaii has been an avid supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of American Samoa since its inception and this is the second time around they have generously contributed to the BGCAS.
