Samoa car crash victims laid to rest
A grand procession led by four hearses signaled the final moments of a generation for a Lotoso’a Sale’imoa family.
Tears were aplenty among mourners as the hearses carrying the bodies of three brothers and their sister arrived at the St. Peter Chanel Catholic church, where relatives and loved ones came to pay their respects and bid them farewell.
Tualasea Valelia Faofua, based in New Zealand, and her three brothers, Tautiauli Manuele Alefosio, Tole’afoa Paulo Alesana and Atonio Luki Alefosio were killed during a fatal collision at Lalomanu last week.
The Head of State, His Highness Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi and the Masiofo, Her Highness Filifilia were among the mourners.
Many family members of Alefosio and Faofua from the United States, Australia and New Zealand shed tears as they farewelled their love ones.
The church was packed with relatives and friends of the siblings.
