Couple enter not guilty pleas to drug-related charges in Samoa

A couple believed to be facing charges related to alleged importation of the drug ice, entered pleas of not guilty plea through their lawyer.

The charges were not read out in Court.

Scott Thomas Barlow and wife Makerita Chan Chui Barlow were granted bail today.

Both were placed in custody, but Makerita Barlow was released last week because of their young children.

Scott Barlow was today granted bail on the condition he surrendered all travel documents and to sign in at the Apia police station on Mondays and Thursdays until the matter comes up before the court again on 5 August.

The same bail conditions were imposed on his wife.
