Rhapsody of the Sea cruise ship arrives this morning


Also on the calendar for today, the "Rhapsody of the Sea" a Royal Caribbean International Line cruise ship, will arrive this morning at 8:15 am with a departure scheduled for 8:15 pm this evening. Beginning their 19-night cruise in Sydney, Australia, the Rhapsody of the Sea's last port of call was Apia, and from here she sails to Honolulu. The ship holds up to 1998 passengers and up to 765 crew members, according to David Vaeafe, executive director of the American Samoa Visitor's Bureau.
This is the first of two visits by the Rhapsody of the Sea this year, as it will be used in the Northern Hemisphere during the summer, but will return to the South Pacific in September.
Also today, Pacific Horizons School will hold an Art Auction at the Tradewinds Hotel from 9:00 am to 3:00p.m. to benefit the school, while the I'a Lapo'a Gamefishing Tournament boats are scheduled to arrive from Apia around 3-4 p.m. this afternoon.
