Dongwon inks Chinese canned tuna deal
Dongwon F&B has signed a partnership deal with China-based Bright Food Group to enter the Chinese canned tuna market, reports MK Business.
Under the deal, Dongwon F&B will supply canned tuna, and Bright Food Group will distribute and sell the products in China.
By utilising Birght’s network, Dongwon F&B aims to post annual sales of canned tuna worth 500 billion won ($463.37 million) by 2018 in China.
Prior to the deal, Dongwon F&B began selling canned tuna in China via TV home shopping in 2011 and recorded sales totaling 10 billion won last year.
