CLARIFICATION
In the article published Feb 27, 2013 titled “Female embezzler with infant child given only probation after $40,000 theft”, Samoa News noted in the article that the defendant was given 30 days to come up with a payment plan for the restitution of $43,058.04 and the $2,000 fine. However, what was not included in the article was the fact that, after 30 days, the court will hand down the full sentence, wherein jail time is possible, according to the presiding judge.
