Samoa Motors to open dealership in Apia
The Ford Motor Company is coming to Samoa. This week, it has announced Ford Samoa to be the authorized Ford dealer in the country.
The dealership showroom will located on the main road in Vaitele.
The highly anticipated all-new Ford Ranger which is slated for Samoan market launch early next month; will be the first of many Ford vehicles Ford Samoa introduces to the market Samoa Motors has won numerous awards over the years for sales and service excellence, including back-to-back South Pacific Dealer of the Year awards.
The company has ranked at or near the top of customer satisfaction ratings and has been number one in the market since 2008.
“For the first time ever, Samoa will have an authorized Ford sales, service and parts dealer to sell and service the Ford brand,” said David Yakim, Executive Manager of Samoa Motors, Inc. and Ford Samoa Ltd.
“We know expectations for our products and services will be high. I feel confident that our management team can deliver the vehicles, service quality, and parts availability people will expect.
“My family and I are very proud and excited to bring Ford to Samoa and to have the Newton’s as our partners in this venture,” said Peter Reid III, president of Samoa Motors.
In January 2013, Bryan Wareing was appointed as Ford Samoa’s first general manager for his expertise in Ford products and services through his successful history of working with Ford in the Australian and South Pacific markets.
“The product and service expertise of Samoa Motors combined with the business success and market in sight of both the Reid and Newton families will place Ford Samoa among the leading international automotive distributors in the South Pacific region,” said Mr Wareing.
Ford Samoa is a joint venture between Samoa Motors, American Samoa and CCK Trading Ltd., Apia. Principals in the joint venture are Peter III Reid, Olivia Reid Gillet Reid, Rodney Reid, Lise Reid, and Michael Reid, Ken Newton, Georgina Lui, and Joshua Newton. Ford Samoa will be the first authorized Ford sales, service and parts dealer ever in the country of Samoa.
“With one of the largest Ford market shares in the region Samoa Motors provides Ford Samoa an excellent base from which to expand into the Samoa market.
We are starting with the spectacularly successful, award-winning all-new Ford Ranger,” Mr Wareing continued.
Ford Samoa expects to launch the completely redesigned compact pickup in the coming weeks to coincide with the up coming grand opening of its new showroom. The dealership additionally plans to launch up to three more all-new Ford vehicles within the year.
