There are still major sticking points in the negotiations between Pacific Fisheries officials and the United States over a new tuna fishing agreement.

The current ten year agreement by the Parties to the Nauru Agreement expires on June 14th of this year.
James Movick, the Director - General of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency, says the number of vessels and the operational terms of the agreement are halting the process.
