VIDEO: Hard luck, Manu!
Samoa had to settle for a fourth place finish at the Hertz Wellington Sevens last night, losing the 3rd and 4th playoff to New Zealand, 17-7.
The home team pulled through after a tough battle that could have easily been the finale of the two-day tournament.
Both Samoa and New Zealand lost their semi final games to England and Kenya.
Whereas Samoa narrowly lost 21-19 to England in a game where a yellow card to Alatasi Tupou cost dearly, New Zealand suffered a shock last minute 14-19 loss to Kenya.

![The very popular Hawaiian Celebrity Chef Sam Choy (right) is on island to be part of the “Ulu Summit” that will kick off today at the Tauese Sunia Ocean Center, and he will be cooking up some of his most delicious dishes, using — of course — breadfruit. He is hosted by the Department of Agriculture in American Samoa and its director Mel Purcell, who is an old high school friend. Samoa News joins the American Samoa community in welcoming Chef Choy to our shores.
