Gasoline prices in Samoa increase
Gasoline or petrol will cost you a little but more this month in Samoa.
It follows the announcement by the Minister of Finance; Faumuina Tiatia Liuga at the beginning of the week about the new retail prices for petroleum products.
The Minister announced an increase in the price of petrol by 3.33 sene from $2.93 to $2.97 per litre. Diesel has also been increased by 0.95 sene from $3.05 to $3.06 per litre.
Kerosene, however, is the exception having decreased by 1.66 sene from $2.86 to $2.84 per litre.
“OPEC Oil Ministers at their latest meeting in Vienna have agreed to maintain their present crude oil output targets,” a statement from the Minister said.
“The average cost of the OPEC group’s oil basket, a mix of grades produced by OPEC countries, has been above $100 / bbl for the last two years, a first in OPEC’s history.
