Name released of American Samoa woman stabbed in South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a woman deputies say was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, put into a plastic container and taken to the parking lot of a Columbia McDonald's restaurant.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Thursday that 25-year-old Temukisa Enele from Pago Pago, American Samoa, died after she was stabbed several times.
Authorities said 25-year-old Faafiu Toese called police around 3 a.m. Wednesday and told officers to look in the back seat of his 2000 Mitsubishi Montero, where his girlfriend's body was in a plastic container.
Deputies say the stabbing happened during an argument at the nearby apartment the couple shared.
Toese is charged with murder. He was being held at the Richland County jail and it wasn't clear if he had an attorney.
