Local HAL station manager recruited for San Diego
Hawaiian Airlines spokesman Keoni Wagner confirmed this past weekend that Judith McCoy, who was the airline’s local station manager, has been appointed as the station manager for Hawaiian’s San Diego operation.
“Her performance as our Pago Pago station manager was excellent, and we look forward to her leading our San Diego station,” said Wagner from Honolulu, responding to Samoa News’ inquiries. “We are recruiting for the open position at Pago Pago and Assistant Manager Sia Burgos is acting as Interim Manager.”
McCoy took over the post of local station manager in November of 2010 and prior to that, she was an administrator with the local Department of Homeland Security (ASDHS).
Prior to joining ASDHS, she worked as an operations coordinator and certified transportation broker for The Select Carrier Group in Dallas, Texas. She also worked as operations manager for three family owned businesses in American Samoa: Harbor Refuse & Environmental Services, Inc., McCoy’s Icehouse, and Northwest Fisheries.
McCoy is a 1988 honors graduate of Samoana High School in American Samoa, after which she studied at the American Samoa Community College, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, and American Public University in Charles Town, West Virginia, according to Hawaiian Air’s archive.
