Gov Togiola tells territory to embrace election decision
Gov. Togiola Tulafono on Wednesday morning addressed the people of American Samoa following Tuesday’s run off election, where Lolo Matalasi Moliga and Lemanu Peleti Mauga, were elected to lead ASG as governor and lieutenant governor over the next four years.
Speaking on KSBS-FM, the governor said the voters have spoken on election day and they have made the decision to elect Lolo as the new governor and Lemanu, lieutenant governor. And therefore, he said, American Samoa must accept and embrace the decision and move forward.
He congratulated Lolo and Lemanu for their hard battle and wished them the best when they take over the leadership posts in January next year
Togiola also congratulated Lt. Gov. Faoa Aitofele Sunia for a well-fought battle in the governor’s race.
Togiola called on residents to come together and support the new governor and his administration in 2013.
