SGT Toma Frost receives Purple Heart

SGT Toma Frost was awarded the Purple Heart medal on Saturday, June 2, 2012 for wounds received in action in June 7, 2009 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

Earlier that same day, Frost was promoted to SGT and received the Army Commendation Medal for "exceptionally meritorious service during Operation Iraqi Freedom."

He is pictured here with his parents Luamanuvae Kolisiosamoa Frost and Faamaile Polutea Frost, and his sisters Naoupu and Marietta shortly after the ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
