The following have graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.: ARMY PFC. LUALEI ULI, ARMY PFC. GLORY V. ELAMA, and ARMY PVT. YOUNGHIE G. JEONG

During the nine weeks of training, these soldiers studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Uli is the daughter of Saileifi Uli of American Samoa.

Elama is the daughter of Faatua Lago of Dungarvan Drive, El Paso, Texas, and niece of Tina McFall of Millpoint Avenue, Carson, Calif.  She is a 2011 graduate of Tafuna High School.

Jeong is the daughter of Tuvaelagi Jeong of Pago Pago, and also a 2011 graduate of Tafuna High School, American Samoa.
